NOTICE OF REVOCATION AND RESTITUTION Case No. 05-19-GA Notice Issued: June 21, 2005 Patrick P. Salley, P 53578, Detroit, Michigan, by the Attorney Discipline Board Tri-County Hearing Panel #29.

1. Revocation 2. Effective June 18, 2005 1 The respondent was found to be in default for his failure to file an answer to the formal complaint or appear at the hearing. Based on that default, the panel found that respondent failed to represent his clients competently, diligently and expeditiously; neglected his clients= matters; abandoned their representation; failed to abide by the rule of the Immigration Court; and failed to file answers to three requests for investigation served by the Grievance Administrator. Additionally, the panel found that respondent breached his duty to one of his clients by failing to inform them that their appeal to the Board of Immigration Appeals was dismissed. Respondent also jeopardized his clients= interests by failing to cooperate with them and, in particular, to provide them with documents necessary to file an appeal to the U.S. Court of Appeals.

Respondent=s conduct was in violation of MCR 9.1049A)(1)-(4) and (7); MCR 9.113(A) and (B)(2); and Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct 1.1(a) and (c); 1.3; 1.16(d); 3.2; 3.4(c); 8.1(a)(2); and 8.4(a) and (c). The hearing panel ordered that respondent=s license to practice in Michigan be revoked and that he pay restitution in the aggregate amount of $6,221.12. Costs were assessed in the amount of $1,944.34.
