Effective February 8, 2005 The respondent and the Grievance Administrator filed a stipulation for a consent order of discipline, in accordance with MCR 9.115(F)(5), containing respondent=s plea of no contest to the allegation that, in a divorce matter, he failed to diligently and promptly represent his client when requested to file a motion to set aside the judgment of divorce.
Respondent was charged with a violation of Michigan Rule of Professional Conduct 1.3. The parties agreed that respondent should be reprimanded with a condition relevant to the alleged misconduct. Costs were assessed in the amount of $811.33.
