NOTICE OF REPRIMAND AND RESTITUTION WITH CONDITIONS (By Consent)

Case No. 04-18-GA Notice Issued: October 12, 2004 Michael P. Bolton, P 10975, Farmington Hills, Michigan, by Attorney Discipline Board Tri-County Hearing Panel #74.

1. Reprimand 2. Effective October 1, 2004 The respondent and the Grievance Administrator filed a stipulation for a consent order of discipline, in accordance with MCR 9.115(F)(5), containing respondent=s plea of no contest to allegations of neglect; failing to communicate; failing to protect his client=s interests upon termination of his representation; and failing to properly maintain his client=s file and records of funds paid to him. Respondent was charged with violations of Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct 1.1(c); 1.3; 1.4(a); 1.15(a); and 1.16(d).

The parties agreed that respondent should be reprimanded, pay restitution in the amount of $600.00, and be subject to conditions relevant to the alleged misconduct. Costs were assessed in the amount of $798.45.
