NOTICE OF SUSPENSION Case No. 04-6-GA Notice Issued: August 18, 2004

1. Suspension - 180 Days 2. Effective August 18, 2004

The panel found that respondent, in a divorce matter, failed to have the summons and complaint properly served, causing the case to be dismissed and failed to inform his client that the case had been dismissed. In a bankruptcy matter, respondent did not act diligently and promptly with regard to his client=s matter; failed to obey the obligation of the bankruptcy court in terminating his practice in the bankruptcy court; failed to advise his client of that reprimand; and failed to turn over the retainer. Respondent also failed to fully and fairly disclose all the facts pertaining to the alleged misconduct; and knowingly failed to respond to the Grievance Administrator=s lawful demands for information.

Respondent=s conduct was in violation of MCR 9.104(A)(1)-(4); MCR 9.113(A); and Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct 1.1(c); 1.2(a); 1.3; 1.4(a) and (b); 1.16(d); 3.4(c); 8.1(a)(2); and 8.4(a)-(c).

The hearing panel ordered that respondent=s license be suspended for 180 days and assessed costs in the amount of $2,078.47.
