NOTICE OF SUSPENSION (By Consent)

1. Suspension - 5 Years 2. Effective February 23, 2004 1 On September 28, 2000, respondent pled nolo contendere to First Degree Elder Exploitation in Florida=s Collier County Circuit Court, a felony, in violation of Florida Statutes 825.103(A)/825.103(2)(a). In accordance with MCR 9.120(B)(1), respondent=s license to practice law in Michigan was automatically suspended on the date of that felony conviction.

The respondent and Grievance Administrator filed a stipulation for consent order of discipline in accordance with MCR 9.115(F)(5). The hearing panel ordered that respondent=s license to practice law shall be suspended for five years, effective February 23, 2004, the date on which respondent reported his Florida conviction to the Michigan discipline system. Costs were assessed in the amount of $872.59.

1 Respondent has been continuously suspended from the practice of law in Michigan since September 28, 2000, the date of his conviction. See Notice of Automatic Interim Suspension dated February 26, 2004.
