The hearing panel found that, in an adoption matter, respondent, or a person acting under her direction and control, placed the stamp and signature of former Probate Register Leonard Reinowski on the purported Order of Adoption without his authority, knowledge or consent; placed the stamp of Judge Nowicki on the purported Order of Adoption without his authority, knowledge, or consent; presented the purported Order of Adoption to her client as a valid order of adoption; and misrepresented to her client that the purported Order of Adoption was a valid order.
Respondent=s conduct was found to be in violation of MCR 9.104(A)(1)-(4); and Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct 8.4(a)-(c). The hearing panel ordered that respondent=s license to practice law in Michigan be suspended for thee years and assessed costs in the amount of $2,120.09.
