NOTICE OF REVOCATION & RESTITUTION Case No. 03-29-GA Notice Issued: October 28, 2003 Randall J. Layman, P-53041, Detroit, Michigan, by Attorney Discipline Board Tri-County Hearing Panel #31.

1. Revocation 2. Effective October 28, 2003 The hearing panel found, by default, that respondent neglected and abandoned six clients; commingled and misappropriated funds; failed to return unearned fees; failed to return client files; failed to notify his clients and the courts of his prior suspension from the practice of law; accepted representation when he knew he he could not appear due to his suspension; failed to cooperate with the Attorney Grievance Commission=s investigation; and failed to answer requests for investigation.

Respondent=s conduct was in violation of MCR 9.104(A)(1)-(4); MCR 9.113; MCR 9.113(A); MCR 9.113(B)(2); MCR 9.119(A)-(E); MCR 9.123(A); and Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct 1.1(a) and (c); 1.2(a); 1.3; 1.4; 1.4(a); 1.15(a)-(c); 1.16(d); 3.2; 5.5(a); 8.1(a)(2); and 8.4(a)-(c). The hearing panel ordered that respondent's license to practice law be revoked and that he pay restitution in the aggregate amount of $6,450.00. Costs were assessed in the amount of $1,967.72.
