NOTICE OF REPRIMAND WITH CONDITION (By Consent)

1. Reprimand 2. Effective September 12, 2003 The respondent and the Grievance Administrator filed a stipulation for a consent order of discipline, in accordance with MCR 9.115(F)(5), containing respondent=s plea of nolo contendere to the allegations that, in a medical malpractice matter, he failed to take steps to set aside the dismissal of the case; failed to take steps to reinstate the case; and failed to adequately protect his client=s interests in the matter. Respondent was charged with violations of MCR 9.104(A)(1)-(4); and Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct 1.1(c); 1.2(a); 1.3; 3.2; and 8.4(a) and (c).
The parties agreed that respondent should be reprimanded and participate in the Lawyers and Judges Assistance Program through the State Bar of Michigan for a period of two years. Costs were assessed in the amount of $1,083.84.
