Effective July 29, 2003 The hearing panel found, by default, that respondent, in six separate matters, neglected those matters; failed to keep his clients reasonably informed of the status of their matters; and failed to refund unearned fees. In four of those six matters, respondent failed to deposit the retainers into a client trust account; and misappropriated those monies. In three of those six matters; respondent made false statements or misrepresentations to his clients regarding the status of their matters. Additionally, respondent failed to answer six requests for investigation served upon him by the Grievance Administrator.
The panel ordered that respondent=s license be revoked and that he pay restitution in the aggregate amount of $11,995.00. Costs were assessed in the amount of $1,905.85.
