1. Revocation. 2. Effective June 26, 2003 1 The hearing panel found, based on respondent=s admission, that respondent, while suspended from the practice of law, provided legal advice, appeared in court on behalf of a client, and accepted legal fees. Further, respondent never disclosed to his client, opposing counsel, or the court that he was a suspended lawyer. Respondent=s conduct was found to be in violation of MCR 9.104(A)(1)-(4) and (9), MCR 9.119(E) and (F); and Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct 1.5; 1.15(a)-(c); 3.3(a); and 8.4(a)-(c). The panel ordered that respondent=s license be revoked and that he pay restitution in the amount of 1,000.00. Costs were assessed in the amount of $1,742.68.
The Grievance Administrator filed a motion for reconsideration to amend the effective date of the order of revocation. The Attorney Discipline Board granted the motion and amended the effective date of respondent=s revocation to June 26, 2003.
