The respondent and the Grievance Administrator filed a stipulation for a consent order of discipline, in accordance with MCR 9.115(F)(5), containing respondent=s plea of nolo contendere to the allegations that he was convicted of hindering and opposing a police officer; failed to provide notice to the Grievance Administrator of his conviction; and committed conduct that exposed the legal profession or the courts to obloquy, contempt, censure or reproach.
Respondent was charged with violations of MCR 9.104(A)(1)-(4); MCR 9.120(A); and Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct 6.5; and 8.4(a) and (c). The parties agreed that respondent should be reprimanded and placed on probation for six months, with a condition relevant to the established misconduct. Costs were assessed in the amount of $43.17.
