1. Suspension - 9 Months 2. Effective March 5, 2003 On March 5, 2003, respondent was convicted in the Oakland County Circuit Court of OUIL-3rd, a felony. In accordance with MCR 9.120(B)(1), respondent=s license to practice law in Michigan was automatically suspended on the date of that felony conviction.
The Grievance Administrator and respondent filed a stipulation for consent order of discipline pursuant to MCR 9.115(F)(5). The hearing panel ordered that respondent be suspended for nine months, effective March 5, 2003. The panel also ordered that respondent shall be subject to a two and a half year probationary period, along with other conditions, if and when respondent becomes reinstated to the practice of law in Michigan. Costs were assessed in the amount of $776.25.
