NOTICE OF REVOCATION AND RESTITUTION Case No. 02-114-GA Notice Issued: February 20, 2003 Mark T. Light, P-16673, Okemos, Michigan, by the Attorney Discipline Board Ingham County Hearing Panel #1.

1. Revocation; 2. Effective February 15, 2003. 1 The hearing panel found, by default, that respondent, in two separate matters, failed to file the necessary motions to withdraw from representation; and failed to advise the courts and opposing counsel that he would no longer be representing these clients. Further, in a wrongful termination matter for three clients, respondent failed to provide an affidavit or other competent evidence in response to a motion to dismiss; failed to advise two of the three clients that their claims could not be properly pursued in Ohio; failed to advise his clients that he would no longer represent them; and failed to advise his clients of the dismissal of their matter until the time for appeal of right had expired. Additionally, respondent failed to refund unearned fees in three separate matters. Finally, respondent failed to file answers to five separate requests for investigation served by the Grievance Administrator.

Respondent=s conduct was in violation of MCR 9.104(A)(1)-(4) and (7); MCR 9.113(A); MCR 9.113(B)(2); and Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct 1.1(c); 1.2; 1.3; 1.4(b); 1.5(a); 1.15(a)-(c); 1.16(d); 8.1(a)(2); and 8.4(a)-(c). The panel issued an order revoking respondent's license to practice in Michigan and ordered restitution in the amount of $3,000.00. Costs were assessed in the amount of $1,838.18.
