NOTICE OF SUSPENSION AND RESTITUTION Case No. 02-37-GA Notice Issued: August 30, 2002 A. Craig Klomparens, P-46894, Petoskey, Michigan, by Attorney Discipline Board Emmet County Hearing Panel.

Suspension - 180 Days;

2. Effective January 2, 2003. The hearing panel found, by default, that respondent was retained to prepare a will but failed to prepare the will; abandoned the representation of his client; and failed to notify his client of his non-disciplinary suspension from the practice of law. Respondent also failed to answer a request for investigation served by the Grievance Administrator. Respondent's conduct was in violation of MCR 9.104(A)(1)-(4) and (7); MCR 9.113(A); MCR 9.113(B)(2); MCR 9.119(A) and (C); and Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct 1.1(c); 1.2(a); 1.3; 1.4; 1.5(a); 1.16(d); 8.1(b); and 8.4(a)-(c).

The hearing panel ordered that respondent's license to practice law be suspended for 180 days to run consecutive to the 180 day suspension ordered in Grievance Administrator v A. Craig Klomparens, ADB Case No. 02-21-GA, effective July 5, 2002. The panel further ordered that respondent pay restitution in the amount of $300.00, plus interest, and assessed costs in the amount of $474.26
