NOTICE OF REVOCATION AND RESTITUTION (By Consent)
Case No. 02-77-GA Notice Issued: October 1, 2002 Brent A. Johannsen, P-48177, Lansing, Michigan by the Attorney Discipline Board Ingham County Hearing Panel #1.
1. Revocation; 2. Effective October 1, 2002. The respondent and the Grievance Administrator submitted a stipulation for consent order of discipline in accordance with MCR 9.115(F)(5) which was approved by the Attorney Grievance Commission and was accepted by a hearing panel. Respondent entered a plea of no contest to allegations that he mishandled and commingled client funds which were to have been held in trust.
Respondent=s conduct was alleged to be in violation of MCR 9.104(A)(1)-(4); and Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct 1.15(a)-(c); and 8.4(a)-(c). The parties further stipulated to the entry of an order revoking respondent=s license to practice law in Michigan. Restitution was ordered in the aggregate amount of $204,868.21 and costs were assessed in the amount of $806.07.
