Valladares, P 38887, Kalamazoo, Michigan Effective August 13, 2002 The respondent=s license to practice law in Michigan was automatically suspended on June 26, 2002, the date of his conviction of one count of parental kidnapping/custodial interference in violation of MCL 750.350(a). To date, formal proceedings before a hearing panel have not been instituted by the filing of a judgment of conviction. On August 13, 2002, the Attorney Discipline Board entered an order under MCR 9.120(B)(1) granting the respondent=s motion to set aside the automatic suspension based upon the Board=s finding that such an order would be consistent with the maintenance of the integrity and honor of the profession, the protection of the public, and the interests of justice.
