NOTICE OF SUSPENSION AND RESTITUTION Case Nos. 01-70-GA; 01-84-FA Notice Issued: August 30, 2002 Baylee Reid, P-26300, Detroit, Michigan, by the Attorney Discipline Board Tri-County Hearing Panel #77.

1. Suspension - 180 Days; 2. Effective August 30, 2002. The hearing panel found, by default, that respondent, in three matters, neglected his obligations to his clients; failed to represent his clients diligently; failed to keep his clients reasonably informed concerning the status of their matters; failed to respond to reasonable requests for information from the Attorney Grievance Commission; and failed to timely refund unearned attorney fees. Respondent also failed to file an answer to a request for investigation and formal complaint served by the Grievance Administrator. Respondent's conduct was in violation of MCR 9.104(1)-(4) and (7); MCR 9.113(A); MCR 9.113(B)(2); and Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct 1.1(c); 1.2(a); 1.3; 1.4(a) and (b); 1.16(a) and (d); 8.1(b); and 8.4(a) and (c).

The panel ordered that respondent's license to practice law in Michigan be suspended for 180 days and that he pay restitution in the aggregate amount of $2,850.00. Costs were assessed in the amount of $577.16.
