1. Reprimand; 2. Effective September 28, 2002 The respondent and the Grievance Administrator filed a stipulation for a consent order of discipline, in accordance with MCR 9.115(F)(5), containing the respondent's plea of nolo contendere to filing an inappropriate petition for writ of habeas corpus on his client=s behalf, although there was no basis in law for such a petition. Respondent was charged with violations of MCR 9.104(A)(1)-(4); and Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct 1.1(b); 1.3; 1.4(b); 3.1; and 8.4(a)-(d). The parties agreed that respondent should be reprimanded. Costs were assessed in the amount of $117.94.
