NOTICE OF SUSPENSION AND RESTITUTION Case No. 00-204-GA NOTICE ISSUED: March 21, 2001 Raymond G.D. Huuskonen, P-36834, Mt. Clemens, Michigan, by the Attorney Discipline Board affirming an order of Ingham County Hearing Panel #108.
1. Suspension - 3 Years; 2. Effective January 17, 2002. 1 The hearing panel found by default that respondent had committed professional misconduct, specifically: That respondent failed to perform the work for which he was retained; failed to maintain reasonable communication with his client; abandoned the representation of his client; failed to return unearned fees; and failed to answer a request for investigation served upon him by the Grievance Administrator. Respondent=s conduct was found to be in violation of MCR 9.104(1)-(4) and (7); MCR 9.113(A); MCR 9.113(B)(2); and Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct 1.1(a)-(c); 1.3; 1.4(a) and (c); 1.5(a); 1.16(d); 8.1(b); and 8.4(a) and (c).
The hearing panel ordered that respondent=s license be suspended for three years and that he pay restitution in the amount of $6,000.00. Costs were assessed in the amount of $215.97.
