1. Reprimand. 2. Effective January 24, 2002. The professional misconduct alleged in the formal complaints was admitted by default. The complaints alleged that respondent failed to make reasonable efforts to expedite litigation in a probate matter; and failed to file an answer to a request for investigation and two formal complaints served by the Grievance Administrator. Respondent's conduct was in violation of MCR 9.104(1)-(4) and (7); MCR 9.113(A); MCR 9.113(B)(2); and Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct 1.1(c); 1.2(a) and (c); 1.3; 1.16(a)(1); 3.2; 8.1(b); and 8.4(a) and (c).
The hearing panel ordered that respondent be reprimanded with conditions relative to the established misconduct. Costs were assessed in the amount of $439.31.
