NOTICE OF SUSPENSION Case No. 00-162-GA; 00-181-FA Notice Issued: December 20, 2001 Kerry Leon Jackson, P-41971, Southfield, Michigan, by the Attorney Discipline Board increasing Tri-County Hearing Panel #10's order of reprimand to a 30 day suspension.
1. Suspension - 30 days. 2. Effective December 20, 2001. The hearing panel found that respondent failed to answer a request for investigation and two formal complaints served upon him by the Grievance Administrator. Respondent's conduct was in violation of MCR 9.103(C); MCR 9.104(1)-(4) and (7); MCR 9.113(A); MCR 9.113(B)(2); and Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct 8.1(b); and 8.4(a) and (c). The hearing panel ordered that respondent be reprimanded.
The Grievance Administrator petitioned for review, seeking an increase in discipline. On November 28, 2001, the Attorney Discipline Board issued an order increasing the discipline from a reprimand to a 30 day suspension. Total costs were assessed in the amount of $704.50.
