NOTICE OF REPRIMAND (By Consent)
Case No. 01-111-GA Notice Issued: January 7, 2002 Richard J. Corriveau, P-25901, Northville, Michigan, by the Attorney Discipline Board Tri-County Hearing Panel #5.
1. Reprimand; 2. Effective December 26, 2001. The respondent and the Grievance Administrator filed a stipulation for a consent order of discipline in accordance with MCR 9.115(F)(5) in which the respondent offered his plea of no contest to the allegations that he failed to have a fee agreement which accurately described the terms of his fee arrangement; and failed to deposit a $5,000.00 advance payment fee into an interest bearing account in which no funds belonging to respondent or his law firm were being held. Respondent's conduct was in violation of Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct 1.5(b) and 1.15(a). The parties agreed that respondent should be reprimanded and that the remainder of the formal complaint may be dismissed. Costs were assessed in the amount of $101.00.
