FINAL NOTICE OF REPRIMAND Case No. 98-198-GA Notice Issued: September 20, 2001 Mark T. Light, P-16673, Okemos, Michigan, by the Attorney Discipline Board reducing discipline imposed by Ingham County Hearing Panel #7.

1. Reprimand; 2. Effective September 14, 2001. On September 12, 2000, the hearing panel found that respondent had committed misconduct, specifically: That respondent failed to clear up his clients' misunderstandings regarding their $5,000.00 payment; failed to otherwise adequately communicate with his clients; and failed to timely disclose facts necessary to correct a misrepresentation on behalf of the Grievance Administrator. Respondent's conduct was found to be in violation of MCR 9.104(1)-(4); and Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct 8.1(b); and 8.4(b). The hearing panel issued an order suspending respondent's license to practice law in Michigan for 30 days.

The respondent filed a timely petition for review and a review hearing was scheduled. On August 23, 2001, the Attorney Discipline Board entered an order and opinion reducing the discipline from a 30 day suspension to a reprimand. Costs were assessed in the amount of $1,928.10.
