1. Suspension - 180 Days; 2. Effective October 10, 2001. The Grievance Administrator filed a petition on April 24, 2001 seeking entry of an order of discipline for respondent's failure to comply with the hearing panel's order of November 29, 2000. The Grievance Administrator filed a proof of service showing that the petition was served upon respondent by regular mail addressed to his address registered with the State Bar of Michigan. Respondent did not file an answer nor did he appear at the August 2, 2001 show cause hearing. Based upon the exhibits submitted by the Grievance Administrator, the panel concluded that respondent had not complied with it's previous order issued November 29, 2000.
The hearing panel ordered that respondent's license to practice law be suspended for 180 days and that all conditions in its prior order remain in force, with the exception of the monitor provision which will commence upon respondent's reinstatement to the practice of law. Costs were assessed in the amount of $233.09.
