1. Reprimand; 2. Effective October 2, 2001. On May 31, 2000, the Grievance Administrator filed Formal Complaint 00-99-GA alleging that respondent had committed professional misconduct by failing to file a timely accounting in an estate matter; making false statements in the accounting; misappropriating funds; and charging an excessive fee. Public hearings were held on September 26, 2000 and February 13, 2001, and on May 3, 2001, the hearing panel filed its report on misconduct finding that respondent had committed misconduct by filing a late accounting in an estate matter. Respondent's conduct was found to be in violation of MCR 9.104(1)-(4); and Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct 1.1(c); 1.2(a); 1.3; 3.2; and 8.4(a)-(c).
On July 17, 2001, the hearing panel conducted a public hearing on discipline and on September 10, 2001, the panel filed its report and order reprimanding respondent and assessing costs in the amount of $806.64.
