NOTICE OF REINSTATEMENT WITH CONDITION (Pending Appeal)

1. Reinstated; 2. Effective October 23, 2001. Petitioner was suspended from the practice of law, by consent, for a period of 181 days effective September 3, 1998. His petition for reinstatement filed in accordance with MCR 9.123(B) and MCR 9.124 was granted by Tri-County Hearing Panel #11. The panel concluded that petitioner had satisfactorily established his eligibility for reinstatement in accordance with the guidelines of those court rules. On October 19, 2001, the panel issued its report and Order Granting Petition for Reinstatement with Condition. Petitioner complied with the immediate conditions of that order on October 23, 2001, and his reinstatement to the practice of law is deemed to be effective on that date. The continuing condition directs that petitioner meet monthly with a mentor for a period of one year from the effective date of the order granting reinstatement. Costs were assessed in the amount of $713.65.
The Grievance Administrator filed a petition for review seeking reversal of the order granting reinstatement. Review proceedings are scheduled for January 2002.
