1. Reprimand; 2. Effective October 23, 2001. The hearing panel found that respondent had committed professional misconduct, specifically: That respondent failed to represent his client diligently and expeditiously; failed to further his client's objectives through reasonable means permitted by law; prejudiced and damaged his client's interests; neglected his client's matter; and failed to inform his client as fully and as reasonably possible concerning the status of his matter. Respondent's conduct was found to be in violation of MCR 9.104(1)-(4); and Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct 1.1(c); 1.2(a); 1.3; 1.4; and 8.4(a)-(c).
On October 1, 2001, the panel filed its report and order reprimanding respondent and imposing a condition relevant to the established misconduct. Costs were assessed in the amount of $954.79.
