Effective July 31, 2001.
On July 31, 2000, respondent pled guilty of one count of procuring or attempting to procure an act of gross indecency by a female in violation of MCL 750.338a. In accordance with MCR 9.120(B)(1), respondent=s license to practice law in Michigan was automatically suspended on the date of his felony conviction.
This matter has been assigned to a hearing panel for further proceedings. The interim suspension will remain in effect until the effective date of an order filed by a hearing panel.
