NOTICE OF REVOCATION AND RESTITUTION Case No. 02-26-GA Notice Issued: July 10, 2002 Patrick K. Collison, P-41131, Saginaw, Michigan, by the Attorney Discipline Board Genesee County Hearing Panel #4.

1. Revocation; 2. Effective August 27, 2001. At the public hearing, respondent entered a plea of no contest to the allegations that he misappropriated insurance settlement proceeds without his clients' knowledge or consent in eleven cases; misrepresented the status of his clients' matters in seven cases; failed to perform services for which he had been retained in two cases; and failed to maintain funds in an account as required in two other cases. Further, respondent advised a client to ignore probate court orders; misappropriated a land contract payment; misappropriated charity benefit proceeds; improperly solicited a client; and failed to explain the status of a matter to one client. Finally, respondent failed to file answers to three Requests for Investigation served by the Grievance Administrator.

The panel found that respondent's conduct was in violation of MCR 9.104(A)(1)-(5) and (7); MCR 9.113(A); MCR 9.113(B)(2); and Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct 1.2(a); 1.4; 1.15(a)-(c); 4.1; 8.1(b); and 8.4(a)-(c). The panel issued an order revoking respondent's license to practice in Michigan and ordered restitution in the aggregate amount of $367,232.78. Costs were assessed in the amount of $284.98.
