Effective June 28, 2001. 1 Based upon respondent=s default, the hearing panel found that the misconduct charged in Formal Complaint 01-26-GA had been established, specifically: That respondent continued to practice law while suspended; failed to return an unearned fee; and failed to answer four requests for investigation served by the Grievance Administrator. Respondent=s conduct was found to be in violation of MCR 9.104(1)-(4) and (7); MCR 9.113(A); MCR 9.113(B)(2); MCR 9.119(A), (C), and (D); and Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct 1.4(a); 1.15(b); 1.16(d); 5.5(a); 8.1(a); and 8.4(a)-(c).
The hearing panel ordered that respondent's license practice law in Michigan be revoked and that respondent pay restitution in the aggregate amount of $2,300.00. Costs were assessed in the amount of $271.53.
