The Grievance Administrator filed a formal complaint alleging that respondent had committed acts of professional misconduct, specifically: That, as opposing counsel, respondent had unlawfully altered the date on plaintiff's medical release document; and obtained copies of plaintiff's x-rays without obtaining the consent of plaintiff's counsel. Respondent=s conduct was alleged to have been in violation of MCR 9.104(1)-(4); and Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct 3.4(a); 4.4; and 8.4(a)-(c).
The hearing panel found that professional misconduct had not been established and, on May 23, 2001, entered an order dismissing Formal Complaint 00-182-GA. No costs were assessed against respondent.
