NOTICE OF SUSPENSION (By Consent)
Case No. 00-185-JC Notice Issued: May 18, 2001 Shakira Lynette Hawkins, P-59106, Detroit, Michigan, by Attorney Discipline Board Tri-County Hearing Panel #12.
1. Suspension - 30 Days; 2. Effective May 17, 2001. The respondent and the Grievance Administrator filed a stipulation for a consent order of discipline in accordance with MCR 9.115(F)(5). The stipulation was approved by the Attorney Grievance Commission and accepted by the hearing panel. Based upon respondent's convictions for retail fraud and retail fraud 2nd degree, under MCL 750.356d, the parties agreed that an order of suspension should be entered.
The hearing panel ordered that respondent's license to practice law be suspended for 30 days. Costs were assessed in the amount of $9.60.
