NOTICE OF SUSPENSION Case No. 00-50-GA Notice Issued: April 19, 2001 D. Richard Miller, P-33456, Oak Park, Michigan, by the Attorney Discipline Board Tri-County Hearing Panel #52.

1. Suspension - 60 days. 2. Effective April 18, 2001. 1 The hearing panel found that respondent had committed acts of professional misconduct warranting discipline, specifically: That respondent's appearances before the Michigan Unemployment Agency in two matters constituted his appearance as an attorney before a board, commission or other public authority; and that he held himself out as an attorney when he was not regularly licensed or authorized to practice law in Michigan. Respondent's conduct was in violation of MCR 9.119(E)(2); MCR 9.119(E)(3); and MCL 600.916.

The hearing panel ordered that respondent=s license be suspended for 60 days to be served consecutively with the revocation now in effect in respondent's previous matters, thereby extending the time before he would otherwise be eligible to petition for reinstatement under MCR 9.123(B). Costs were assessed in the amount of $2,003.54.

1 Respondent has been continuously suspended from the practice of law in Michigan since February 24, 1994. See Notice of Revocation and Restitution, issued June 28, 1994.
