Dismissal.

Effective April 6, 2001.

The Grievance Administrator filed Formal Complaint 00-34-GA on April 7, 2000 alleging that respondent had committed acts of professional misconduct, specifically: In a divorce matter, respondent was alleged to have failed to investigate and prepare pleadings on behalf of her client; failed to communicate with her client; failed to explain to her client the matters relating to the divorce action; charged fees without her client=s consent; failed to advise her client of the additional fees; failed to enter into a written retainer agreement; caused her client=s signature to be affixed to two documents and filed with the court without her client=s authority; and failed to properly supervise a non-lawyer in her office.

Respondent=s conduct was alleged to have been in violation of MCR 9.104(1)-(4); and Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct 1.1(a)-(c); 1.2(a); 1.3; 1.4; 1.5(a) and (b); 3.2; 3.3(a); 4.1; 5.3(a)-(c); and 8.4(a) and (c).

On March 15, 2001, the hearing panel entered an order dismissing Formal Complaint 00-34-GA. No costs were assessed against respondent.
