Effective March 12, 2001.
The Grievance Administrator filed Formal Complaint 00-189-GA on November 15, 2000 alleging that respondent had committed acts of professional misconduct, specifically: That in a Court of Appeals matter, respondent used unprofessional language in his motion to withdraw as counsel which undermined and was prejudicial to his client=s case; and ineffectively pled his motion for a new trial for his client. Respondent=s conduct was alleged to have been in violation of MCR 9.104(1)-(4); and Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct 1.1; 1.3; 1.16(a); 6.5(a); and 8.4(a) and (c).
On February 16, 2001, the hearing panel entered an order dismissing Formal Complaint 00-189-GA. No costs were assessed against respondent.
