NOTICE OF SUSPENSION (BY CONSENT)

Case No. 99-93-GA NOTICE ISSUED: February 2, 2001 Joseph W. Moch, P-23792, Grand Rapids, Michigan, by Attorney Discipline Board Tri-County Hearing Panel #11.

1. Suspension - 179 Days; 2. Effective December 1, 2000. The respondent and the Grievance Administrator filed a stipulation for a consent order of discipline in accordance with MCR 9.115(F)(5). The stipulation was approved by the Attorney Grievance Commission and accepted by the hearing panel. The respondent offered a plea of no contest to the charges of misconduct in Count Two of Formal Complaint 99-93-GA, specifically: Respondent charged and/or attempted to collect interest on an allegedly unpaid client account without his client=s consent in advance. Respondent=s conduct was in violation of MCR 9.104(1)-(4); and Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct 1.5(a); and 8.4(a) -(c). The hearing panel ordered that respondent's license to practice law be suspended for 179 days. Costs were assessed in the amount of $7.28.
