Revocation.
Effective November 15, 2000.
Based upon an order of disbarment entered May 22, 2000 by the Colorado Supreme Court, the Attorney Discipline Board assigned this matter to a hearing panel and ordered respondent to show cause why a final order of discipline should not be entered in accordance with MCR 9.104. On June 30, 2000, the Grievance Administrator filed Formal Complaint 00-115-GA charging that respondent had submitted forged certificates of good standing to the Board of Law Examiners. Also, respondent had advertised his legal services and otherwise held himself out under the name of ADirk Boer@ which was not his name, nor was it a name he was licensed to practice under. Respondent=s conduct was alleged to be in violation of MCR 9.104(1)-(5); and Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct 7.1(a); 8.1(a); and 8.4(a)-(c). Respondent failed to answer that complaint, a default was entered and Case Numbers 00-112-RD and 00-115-GA were consolidated for hearing.
The hearing panel ordered that respondent=s license to practice law in Michigan be revoked and costs were assessed in the amount of $481.60.
