NOTICE OF SUSPENSION (By Consent)

Case No. 00-28-GA Issued: November 6, 2000 V. Gregory Holland, P-25560, Plymouth, Michigan, by the Attorney Discipline Board Tri-County Hearing Panel #24.

1. Suspension - 120 days. 2. Effective November 1, 2000. The respondent and the Grievance Administrator submitted a stipulation for consent order of discipline in accordance with MCR 9.115(F)(5). The stipulation was approved by the Attorney Grievance Commission and was accepted by the hearing panel. Respondent entered a plea of no contest to the allegations contained in Counts One, Three and Four of Formal Complaint 00-28-GA, to wit: In a probate matter, respondent failed to file a closing inventory; failed to take any action to complete the estate; failed to respond to his client=s inquiries regarding the status of the matter; made statements known by him to be false when responding to the request for investigation served by the Grievance Administrator; and failed to timely respond to letters from the Attorney Grievance Commission during the course of their investigation. Respondent=s conduct was alleged to be in violation of MCR 9.103(C); MCR 9.104(1)-(4) and (6); MCR 9.113(A); and Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct 1.1(c); 1.2(a); 1.3; 1.4(a); 8.1(a) and (b); and 8.4(a)-(c). The parties agreed that Count Two of Formal Complaint 00-28-GA and Formal Complaint 00-57-FA should be dismissed and an order of suspension should be entered.

The hearing panel ordered that respondent=s license be suspended for 120 days. Costs were assessed in the amount of $251.79.
