NOTICE OF SUSPENSION Case No. 99-198-MZ (Related, 96-170-GA and 97-58-GA)

Issued: October 5, 2000 Frenonia Walls, P-45757, Southfield, Michigan, by the Attorney Discipline Board. 1) Suspension - 180 Days; 2) Effective October 5, 2000. On December 27, 1999, the Grievance Administrator filed a petition for order to show cause stating that respondent had failed to comply with the conditions imposed in two prior discipline orders. (See Notice of Reprimand with Conditions, dated June 1, 1998, Case No. 96-170-GA, and Notice of Reprimand with Conditions, dated December 2, 1998, Case No. 97-58-GA.) The Grievance Administrator also requested that these matters be consolidated and that a special master be appointed. The Attorney Discipline Board issued an order to show cause and order appointing master. At the show cause hearing before the Master, respondent admitted that she had not complied with the order in Case No. 96-170-GA, specifically, she did not take the Multi-State Professional Examination and, while claiming to have treated with a therapist, had not submitted any proof. In addition, respondent did not obtain prior approval of community service and did not submit any proof of participating in community service. The parties disputed whether respondent complied with the mentor requirement in Case No. 97-58-GA. On August 4, 2000, the Master filed her report finding that respondent had failed to show cause why a suspension should not be imposed and recommending that respondent be suspended for 180 days. On September 13, 2000, the Attorney Discipline Board issued an order adopting the Master=s report and ordering that respondent be suspended for 180 days. Costs were assessed in the amount of $176.00.
