NOTICE OF SUSPENSION Case No. 97-7-GA Issued: September 15, 2000 Michael A. Conway, P-12165, Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, by the Attorney Discipline Board, Tri-County Hearing Panel #78.

1) Suspension - 3 Years; 2) Effective June 14, 2000. The hearing panel found that the allegations in the formal complaint were established by preponderance of the evidence, to wit: In an age discrimination suit, respondent misappropriated settlement funds belonging to his client and made false statements that were known to be false in his answer to the Request for Investigation served by the Grievance Administrator. Respondent's conduct was found to be in violation of MCR 9.103(C); 9.104(1)-(4), (6) and (7); MCR 9.113(A); and the Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct 1.4(a)-(b); 1.15(a)-(b); 1.16(d); 8.1(a)-(b); and 8.4(a)-(c). The panel ordered that respondent=s license be suspended for 3 years, retroactive to June 14, 2000. Costs were assessed in the amount of $2,418.80.
