NOTICE OF SUSPENSION Case No. 98-227-GA Issued: July 14, 2000 Michael G. Jaron, P-27773, Oak Park, Michigan, by the Attorney Discipline Board affirming order of suspension by Tri-County Hearing Panel #52.

1)Suspension - 180 Days; 2)Effective July 12, 2000. The hearing panel found by a preponderance of the evidence that respondent had committed professional misconduct, specifically: In a real estate matter, respondent failed to maintain reasonable communications with his clients or advise them of significant events in the litigation, including dispositive orders and the entry of a judgment for mediation sanctions; failed to perfect a claim of appeal, resulting in the dismissal of the appeal; knowingly made a false statement of material fact or law to a tribunal; and failed to answer a request for investigation served by the Attorney Grievance Commission. The hearing panel concluded that respondent=s conduct violated MCR 9.104(1)-(4); MCR 9.113(A); MCR 9.113(B)(2); and Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct 1.1(a)-(c); 1.2(a); 1.3; 1.4(a); 3.2; 3.3(a)(1) and (4); 3.4(b)-(d); 8.1(b); and 8.4(a)-(c).

The panel ordered that respondent=s license to practice law in the State of Michigan be suspended for 180 days. Respondent filed a petition seeking review. The suspension ordered by the hearing panel was stayed pending review. On June 20, 2000, the Attorney Discipline Board entered an order affirming the hearing panel=s order. Costs were assessed in the amount of $1,218.19.
