NOTICE OF SUSPENSION AND RESTITUTION Case Nos. 00-60-GA; 00-85-FA Issued: July 12, 2000 James E. LeBlanc, P-16492, Pahoa, Hawaii, by Attorney Discipline Board Tri-County Hearing Panel #53.

1)Suspension - 182 Days; 2)Effective July 12, 2000. Respondent failed to answer the formal complaint and failed to appear at the scheduled hearing before the panel. The panel found, by default, that respondent committed professional misconduct, to wit: In a personal injury matter, respondent failed to provide a written or oral accounting to his client of the proceeds received and disbursed from the insurance claim, despite repeated requests from his client. Further, respondent failed to respond to a request for investigation served by the Attorney Grievance Commission. The panel found that respondent=s conduct was found to be in violation of MCR 8.121; MCR 9.103(C); MCR 9.104(1)-(4) and (7); and MCR 9.115(D); and Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct 1.4(a); 1.5(c); 1.15(b); 8.1(b); and 8.4(a)-(c).

The panel ordered that respondent=s license be suspended for 182 days. Costs were assessed in the amount of $525.08.
