Dismissal.

The Grievance Administrator filed Formal Complaint 99-174-GA on October 27, 1999 alleging that respondent had committed acts of professional misconduct, specifically: That respondent solicited professional employment from complainant's client; caused complainant's client to execute a power of attorney naming respondent as attorney in fact; and never obtained complainant's consent to contact the his client. Respondent=s conduct was alleged to have been in violation of MCR 9.104(1)-(4); and Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct 4.2; 7.3(a) and (b); and 8.4(a) and (c).
On June 29, 2000, the hearing panel entered an order dismissing Formal Complaint 99-174-GA. The Grievance Administrator filed a motion for reconsideration which was denied by the panel on September 12, 2000. On September 19, 2000, the Grievance Administrator filed a petition for review. The Attorney Discipline Board issued an opinion and order on May 22, 2001 affirming the hearing panel=s dismissal. No costs were assessed against respondent.
