NOTICE OF REPRIMAND (By Consent)
Case No. 99-176-GA Issued: July 26, 2000 Robert L. Donoghue, P-38701, Midland, Michigan, by the Attorney Discipline Board Midland County Hearing Panel #2.
1.Reprimand; 2.Effective July 20, 2000. The respondent and the Grievance Administrator filed a stipulation for a consent order of discipline in accordance with MCR 9.115(f)(5) which was approved by the Attorney Grievance Commission and accepted by the hearing panel. Respondent offered a plea of no contest to the charges of misconduct contained in Count Two of Amended Formal Complaint 99-176-GA, to wit: Respondent failed to adequately supervise an attorney in his employ. Respondent=s conduct was in violation of MCR 9.104(1)-(4) and Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct 5.1 and 8.4(a) and (c). The parties agreed that the allegations contained in Count One of Amended Formal Complaint 99-176-GA may be dismissed. The parties further stipulated that the respondent should be reprimanded. Costs were assessed in the amount of $140.01.
