NOTICE OF SUSPENSION AND RESTITUTION (By Consent)

Case No. 99-113-GA Issued: March 17,2000 Raymond F. Curtin, P-30779, Burton, Michigan, by the Attorney Discipline Board Genesee County Hearing Panel #2.

1. Suspension - 30 days. 2. Effective March 17,2000. The respondent and the Grievance Administrator submitted a stipulation for consent order of discipline in accordance with MCR 9.115(F)(5). The stipulation was approved by the Attorney Grievance Commission and was accepted by a hearing panel. Respondent entered a plea of no contest to the allegations contained in Count Two of Formal Complaint 99-113-GA, to wit: that respondent failed to answer a request for investigation which was served upon him by the Attorney Grievance Commission. Respondent's conduct was alleged to be in violation of MCR 9.104(1) - (4) and (7); MCR 9.1 03(C); MCR 9.113(A) and (B)(2); and Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct 8.1 (b) and 8.4(a) and (c). The parties agreed that an order of suspension and restitution should be entered. The parties further stipulated that Count One of Formal Complaint 99-113-GA be dismissed.

The hearing panel ordered that respondent's license be suspended for 30 days and that he pay restitution to the complainants inthe amount of $500.00. Costs were assessed in the amount of $66.58.
