NOTICE OF AUTOMATIC INTERIM SUSPENSION Case No. 98-21-RP Lee T. Hoffmann, Jr., P-24565, Rochester, Michigan.
Effective March 15, 2000.
Respondent was previously suspended for a period of 180 days effective May 16, 1996. Respondent petitioned for reinstatement in accordance with MCR 9.123(8) and MCR 9.124. On October 23, 1998, Tri-County Hearing Panel #70 entered an order granting the petition for reinstatement, subject to several continuing conditions for a period of two years. Respondent was reinstated effective October 30, 1998.
Respondent subsequently filed a motion for modification of the conditions imposed by the panel. At a hearing conducted March 13, 2000, the hearing panel concluded that respondent had not complied with the previously imposed conditions of reinstatement and that t.hose conditions were necessary to insure protection of the public. The panel ordered an immediate interim suspension, effective March 15, 2000, with instructions to respondent to provide certain information to the Attorney Grievance Commission and the Attorney Discipline Board.
