NOTICE OF SUSPENSION AND RESTITUTION (With Conditions)

Case No. 98-211-GA Issued: March 3, 2000 Judith A. Oswell, P-31849, Allen Park, Michigan, by the Attorney Discipline Board Tri-County Hearing Panel #12.

1. Suspension - 60 days. 2. Effective February 26, 2000. The hearing panel found, by a preponderance of the evidence, that respondent had committed the following acts of professional misconduct: failed to keep clients informed; failed to comply with clients' requests for information; and failed to render a full accounting of the retainer held for representation of her clients. The panel concluded that respondent's conduct violated Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct 1.4(a) and 1.15(b). The panel ordered that the respondent be suspended from the practice of law in Michigan for 60 days with conditions relevant to the established misconduct. Respondent was also ordered to pay restitution to the complainants in the amount of $700.00. Costs were assessed in the amount of $1,419.33.
