NOTICE OF REPRIMAND (By Consent)

1. Reprimand 2. Effective December 23, 1999. The respondent and the Grievance Administrator submitted a stipulation for consent order of discipline in accordance with MCR 9.115(f)(5). The stipulation was approved by the Attorney Grievance Commission and was accepted by a hearing panel. Respondent entered a plea of no contest to the allegations of professional misconduct contained in Formal Complaint 99-148-GA, specifically: that respondent failed to answer a complaint on behalf of his client; failed to file motions to set aside default and failed to remain present for a hearing during which proofs regarding damages were taken in his absence in violation of MCR 9.104(1)-(4) and Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct 1.1(c), 1.3, 3.2 and 8.4(a) and (c). The parties agreed that respondent should be reprimanded.
Costs were assessed in the amount of $77.93.
