NOTICE OF AUTOMATIC INTERIM SUSPENSION Case No. 00-41-JC Issued: April 7,2000 Steven W. Simmons, P-55624, Royal Oak, Michigan. Effective November 5, 1999. On March 22, 2000, the Grievance Administrator filed a certified copy of a judgment of sentence entered January 19, 2000 in the 44 th Judicial Circuit Court showing that respondent was convicted on November 5, 1999, by a plea of no contest, of bank robbery and felony firearm, in violation of MCl 750.531-A and MCl 750.227B-A. In accordance with MCR 9.120(B)(1), respondent's license to practice law in Michigan was automatically suspended on the date of those felony convictions.
In accordance with MCR 9.120(B)(3), the Attorney Discipline Board has entered an order directing respondent to appear before a hearing panel to show cause why a final order of discipline should not be entered.
