NOTICE OF REPRIMAND (By Consent)

1. Reprimand. 2. Effective October 21, 1999. The respondent and the Grievance Administrator submitted a stipulation for consent order of discipline in accordance with MCR 9.115(f)(5). The stipulation was approved by the Attorney Grievance Commission and was accepted by a hearing panel. Respondent entered a plea of nolo contendere to the allegations of professional misconduct contained in paragraphs 6(c), (d) and (e) in Formal Complaint No. 99-070-GA, to wit that she received attorney fees in a probate matter but failed to maintain the time records required by MCR 8.303(C); that she failed to give notice to parties whose interests may be affected by the payment of attorney fees as required by MCR 8.303(D) and that she failed to seek probate court approval of her attorney fees prior to payment as required by MCR 8.303(E). Respondent=s conduct was alleged to be in violation of MCR 9.104(1) through (4) and the Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct 1.1(a), (b) and (c); 1.3; 3.4(c) and 8.4(a) and (c). The parties agreed that respondent should be reprimanded. Costs were assessed in the amount of $87.48.
